'L' Family

Have I ever mentioned that I love feet pictures? Yes, I think I have. So I was thrilled when this family asked me if I could do a shot or two of their feet. He he he.  These kids are not shy of the camera so we had a lot of fun!

This last one is one of my faves! I think family photography is all about capturing the real family moments. We need more than the phony, perfectly posed pictures!

P52: Still Life

Do you think of a bowl of fruit with a light source off to the side on a dark backdrop when you think of "Still Life"? I guess that brings me back to art class in Jr. High. But it was refreshing to not take a picture of a living, breathing subject. It holds so still and you don't have to bribe it with a marshmallow!

And just in time for Mother's Day! Mom, I dedicate this post to you! Since I can't give you flowers... these don't smell near as good (and these smelled wonderful!) but it'll last a whole lot longer. I've got the best mom ever - and she is my best friend. You know what they say about daughters... they are just little girls who grow up to be your friend. That makes me so happy because I've got 2 of my own now and I hope that they'll have the same relationship with me as I do with my mom!

I love spring time! I love the sunshine, the 70-80 degree weather and I love the flowers! Not a big fan of the awful allergies we are having this year, but I guess that's the price we pay.

P52: Fiesta or Siesta

With a 5 month old at home, we are doing more "siesta" and less "fiesta".  So sweet when they are asleep....

Baby Girl on the way!

If this shoot had been just three days later, it would've been a newborn one! We caught this belly just in time. And what a cute one it is... I'm so excited for her new baby Girl.

Yes, I'm still obsessed with feet shots. I don't know what it is... but a family of legs says just as much sometimes. And who can resist those adorable pink shoes?!

P52: Things That Grow

Well, its week 16 at Project 52. Things that grow is the theme for the week. I was really excited that I already had a maternity shoot scheduled for this week! Babies grow faster than everything (except maybe weeds, but this is so much cuter!!!)

P52: Foolin' Around

I can't say I had an eventful April Fool's Day. Growing up it was always a big deal, but somehow it pretty much escaped me this year.
We went to cuddle on some little chicks for Easter pictures this week and got some funny pictures. My daughter ate it up! Just foolin' around with chicks!

P52: Details

Details, details. What a great time of year to capture the details. My daughter LOVES dandelions and I get a handful brought to me daily! Then all of a sudden they went from bright yellow dots to fluffy wishes on a stem. What is it about these balls of seeds that is so magical? Add this evenings sunset and you've got an enchanting photo.
